Earth is Figtree Anglican’s series on the first five chapters of Genesis.
In each chapter the earth or ground is mentioned, and every time it is a catalyst for learning something about the character of the Creator. Psalm 19 says the heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim His handiwork. Genesis opens with the phrase ‘in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth’’
Much like the psalmist declared of the heavens above, our series will also show us our God in the earth below. His wonderful person and His astounding ways are demonstrated as we see His fingerprints in the dirt.

Figtree Community Carols will be held on the Figtree High School oval, on 10 December. It’s a fantastic event, but it’s also a huge undertaking for all of us here at FAC, for which we need our army of volunteers to swing into action. There are so many opportunities for you to be involved, from set-up, during the event itself, and helping with pack-down.

Thank you to all those people who have donated to our Ignite Gift project. We set a target of raising $15,000 to support our annual youth camp, which is held in January, and thanks to your generosity we have been able to achieve that ask. The funds raised will go towards paying the cost of camp for a young person who may not otherwise have been able to afford to go, and also to subsidise the cost for some of our youth leaders, who already give so much of their time to serving our youth.

Toys 'n' Tucker is a fantastic initiative of Anglicare – it’s their annual Christmas gift and food appeal, which we here at FAC have supported for many years. It’s an opportunity for us to partner with them in a practical expression of Christ's love for those in greatest need in our local community. If you'd like to be involved, bring donations of non-perishable food and new toys, and leave them under the Christmas tree in the Welcome Lounge by Monday, 12 December. Toys should be suitable for children from pre-school to teenagers.
Wondering what to give? Visit toysntucker.org.au for gift ideas and details.

FAC families have a long tradition of enjoying an informal weekend away at a holiday park on the South Coast in late summer/early spring. This is a great opportunity to connect and enjoy quality time with other like-minded families and build special memories for our kids as we do life in Christian community. Due to our growing size, we have TWO groups heading away from 3 - 5 March in 2023. As the two locations are only 5km apart, we will aim to meet together somewhere on the Saturday to enjoy some church family time.
For families with children from prams to primary school-aged who attend the 10am service, you can book a cabin or camping spot at Burrill Lake Discovery Park using the button below. For more info, contact Megan Richardson on 0425 227 487
For families with children more in the teenage category who perhaps attend the 6pm service, you can boo0k a cabin or camping spot at Ulladulla Holiday Haven using the button below. For more info, contact Jen Black on 0423 246 491.

Mission Partner: Figtree Community Carols
|
Pray that God, according to his will, would bless us with fine weather in the lead-up to Figtree Community Carols to allow the ground to continue to dry out, and also for fine weather on the day.
Praise God for all the volunteers assisting at carols; for their willingness to serve with joy and a passion to bless the local community.
Pray that as they serve across the day, the community will experience grace in action; connecting our community to Christ and our church, and for opportunities that may lead to invitations to join us at Christmas.
Pray for other churches across the region holding carols events; that they will be an opportunity for them to also make lasting connections with their local community.
